Background

Dr. Adetunji Babatunde Williams is a board-certified emergency medicine physician based in the greater Washington, D.C. and Baltimore region, with more than fourteen years of clinical experience across academic, community, and rural emergency departments. He earned his MD at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2008 and completed emergency medicine residency at Cleveland Clinic Akron General in 2011, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Williams practices as an attending emergency physician at Suburban Hospital (Johns Hopkins Medicine) in Bethesda, Maryland, where he has served as a CUSP ED Safety Lead and was named recipient of the William H. Baumgardner Physician of the Year Award in 2023 and Emergency Department Physician of the Year in 2018. He is multi-state licensed across Maryland, Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, Kentucky, Illinois, Arizona, and New Mexico, and leads Rivers Edge Clinical Solutions, a physician-led acute and urgent telehealth practice. At Lotus Health, he contributes emergency medicine expertise and a strong patient-safety perspective to clinician-in-the-loop oversight of acute care content and decision support.
