Dr. Knox Joseph Kelly is a board-certified internal medicine hospitalist at NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn, where he serves as Medical Director of inpatient units LB 5600/5700 and as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He earned his MD from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans in 2017, completed a Master of Science in Global Health Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco in 2016, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Tulane University. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Sutter Health / California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco in 2020 and is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Prior to NYU Langone, Dr. Kelly practiced as a hospitalist with Pacific Inpatient Medical Group in San Francisco from 2020 to 2024, caring for adults across the Bay Area with complex acute medical conditions including heart failure, COPD, sepsis, and acute kidney injury. His clinical and academic focus integrates evidence-based hospital medicine with healthcare sustainability and global public health, including peer-reviewed research on the impact of droughts, flooding, and climate variability on malnutrition, and at Lotus Health he contributes hospitalist and internal medicine expertise to clinician-in-the-loop oversight of AI-supported primary care workflows.
