Dr. Mekhala Chandra is a US board-certified internal medicine and obesity medicine physician with over a decade of experience caring for adults across acute, hospital, and metabolic health settings in San Francisco and the broader Bay Area. She earned her MBBS from Bharati Vidyapeeth University College of Medicine in Pune, India and completed both psychiatry and internal medicine residency training at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, followed by an obesity management fellowship through the Obesity Medical Association. From 2016 to 2025 she served as an internal medicine hospitalist with Sutter Health in the Bay Area, including Novato Community Hospital and California Pacific Medical Center, providing comprehensive acute care and serving on medical staff, physician wellness, and COVID-response committees.
