Dr. William Chan is a board-certified emergency medicine physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens in Flushing, New York, where he serves as Ultrasound Division Director on the Department of Emergency Medicine faculty. A native of Deer Park, New York, he completed his undergraduate education at Stony Brook University, earned his MD from the State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine in 2019, and finished Emergency Medicine residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens in 2022, serving as Chief Resident in his final year. He subsequently completed an Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, with clinical focus on point-of-care ultrasonography for diagnosis, resuscitation, and procedural guidance in the emergency department. Dr. Chan is board certified in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, maintains an active New York State medical license, and practices clinically through Queens Emergency Medical Associates PLLC at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital. An expert peer-reviewed contributor to ALiEM (Academic Life in Emergency Medicine), he brings front-line acute care expertise and emergency ultrasound leadership to Lotus Health's clinician-in-the-loop oversight of AI-supported workflows.
